KOUVALIAS S.A. is a family business founded back in 1945, when John Kouvalias, being himself a carpenter started to create wooden toys assisted by his two sons. In 1960, the first factory was established. Ever since, Kouvalias consistently has won corporate admiration for its creativity, high standards of excellence and strong underlying beliefs and values. In our friendly to the environment factory, a lot of work is still made by hands. This handicraft skill and personal care involved in the process of manufacturing, together with the continuous research on the childrens needs, give Kouvalias products their perfect quality. All raw materials used in the production are environmentally friendly and recycled. The timber comes from beech trees that grow in the northern part of Greece. These trees are cut down for the revival of the forest, with the permission of the NATIONAL FOREST AUTHORITIES. All products show the CE sign and comply with the European standards
